WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – More than 300,000 children are in foster care in the United States — most entering the system after abuse, neglect, or crisis.
Too often, they’re asked to move their lives using a trash bag — a symbol that can feel like stigma.
In Maryland, Rob Scheer, the founder of Comfort Cases, is working to replace that message with dignity, comfort and hope.
